FAQs
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your new or existing project
What is the right type of plastic moulding for my business needs?
The right type of plastic process depends on the specific application, material and your desired outcomes of your project. As there are many popular techniques in plastic moulding, here are just the five types that are commonly used: Rotational Moulding, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Compression Moulding and Extrusion Moulding.
Our core business is high-precision plastic injection moulding. However, that does not limit us to other plastic engineering services, such as blow moulding of plastic fuel cans or extrusion moulding services. Get in touch today, to talk to our technical team that can provide a solution to your problem.
What is your design process?
The initial product enquiry process begins with you sitting down with one of our technical team, to discuss the specifications of the project – this includes but not limited to; what the product is, what industry and what it will be used for. Material selection along with any other product quality information. Once this initial meeting is completed, our technical team can determine if injection moulding is the best and most cost effective method of production for your business solution.
What is the tooling process?
After the initial design process is completed, the technical team discusses in more detail, how the tool will be designed to create the part e.g. split and rotating cores, hot runners and branding etc.
A full tooling estimate will be created explaining what is involved in the tool manufacture with associated costs. Once the tool is made it can be used for high volume production, making it a cost effective manufacturing choice. Tooling lead time is dependent on the size and complexity of the part to be manufactured.
Manufacturing lead time is approximately two to three weeks, however this may fluctuate depending on stock levels and/or machine capacity at the time the order is placed.
